Player Training |

South Brevard FC (SBFC) Sponsored Training: There are trainers on hand to train players, coaches, and teams. Details are outlined below. If you have any questions contact the Director of Coaching (DOC). • All players and teams are offered professional training assistance. • Training is available for 12-weeks during the Fall and 10 in the Spring • The trainers can also provide game analysis for interested teams • The club doesn't offer training to the U5 and U6 teams. Coaches of those teams are encouraged to utilize the manuals and websites outlined below.

Specialized Training During each season, SBFC offers Wednesday night specialized training as follows: • Goalkeeping; Field 2N - FREE • Strength/Conditioning/Technical; Field 2S - $5 per week There are 2 sessions each Wednesday: Session I: U8 Dev.-U10, 6:00-7:00 Session II: U11 and up 7:00-8:00
U7 players and coaches meet each Wednesday on Field 4 @6:00 starting 9/14/11 U8 players and coaches meet each Monday on Field 4 @6:00 starting 9/12/11
South Brevard FC also offers camps during the school holidays.

Individual Training: All trainers are available for $50 per team per session. They will come to your practice area. Reserve their services via DOC at least 1 week in advance Cancellations must be received at least 72 hours in advance or you pay! You are responsible for paying them, cash/check, on the night of training.
For individual training sessions contact one of the trainers listed to the right. The rate is typically $20 per hour. Parents are responsible for contacting and paying the trainer.
In addition, players who want to train on their own or during the off-season may find Individual Training useful.

Coaches Training |
|
|
SBFC is committed to offering its coaches the latest in coaching ideas. There are 4 training sessions per season which ALL coaches (U8Dev. and up) are expected to attend. The club's DOC, club trainers, or guest trainers will host the sessions. They will usually take place on Wednesday nights on a monthly basis. Furthermore, the club desires to have as many coaches as possible licensed, especially at the competitive level. In this endeavor it sponsors several of the FYSA classes outlined below. Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) offers the following courses:

Player-Parent Clinic: 2 hour clinic will include player clinic with parent and coach education module to provide information on issues dealing with the various age groups.

6/8, 8/10 and 10/12 Modules: Age specific training with appropriate activities for youth players. Each of the three modules is six hours.
|
|
|
F certificate: 8 hour course is the introductory course to 11-a-side soccer of players 12 years old and up. This course also serves a preparatory course and prerequisite for the E license course.
|
|
|
E certificate: This course will be a prerequisite for the D license. The course deals with 11-a-side soccer for coaches of players that are 13 years old and up. This course is 18 hours.

|
D license: The D license is the highest state license course for coaches of players 13 and up. The D course includes written, oral and practical coaching exams on the field. The D course takes 36 hours. The E certificate is required to attend the D course. There is no waiver to the D course. Coaches should attend the course that is most appropriate for the players they are coaching. Modules are recommended for anyone coaching U6s, U8s' U10s and U12s. If you are coaching older players the starting point is the F course. The E course is mandatory prior to taking the D course.
